VISUAL ARTS

The school provides the learners with a well-equipped Art and Craft studio. Our Visual Art Program is specifically designed for the development of creative ideas and using imagination to explore various art forms such as painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics and blue pottery. The learners are introduced to various levels of artwork. We firmly believe that visual art enables students to express themselves creatively and help them to channelize their creative bent of mind.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION & SPORTS

Physical Education (PE) is a significant indicator of the robustness of spirit. The lessons learnt on playfields are as enduring as those learnt in classrooms. It also helps students to pick up life skills such as discipline, rigour, and team spirit. Our school provides an array of sporting activities, conducted under the qualified coaches and professionals. They guide and nurture the sporting talents of the students in sports such as Football, Basketball, Skating, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Athletics, Aerobics, Cricket, Swimming etc. The school has also introduced a Sports Academy to provide and facilitate a perfect training ground for the champions of tomorrow.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT

PERFORMING ARTS

At ASIAN WORLD SCHOOL we emphasize on teaching the  learners how to see, compose and design – and  manipulate various forms of media in a compelling, original and personally meaningful manner. At our state of art performing art studio, we focus on crossover dance styles that include - Indo-jazz, folk, classical and contemporary.  The music curriculum balances an understanding of the fundamentals of music with a good exposure to varied styles and genres. Our music studio is an epitome of exciting array of musical instruments for the students to experiment and explore.

 Dramatic arts are known to help students read and write for a range of purposes. Drama and theatrics give children opportunities to understand and deal with a range of difficult issues. It also encourages them to think, act, and behave creatively in all areas of learning as well as life.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

PUBLIC SPEAKING AND CREATIVE WRITING

Community outreach program is a specially designed off -campus program for students to help and understand the local community. It provides students to become active members of their community and have a lasting impact on society at large. Volunteerism enables students to acquire life skills as well as provide services to those who need it the most. The students are engaged in various social activities such as: -

 

  • Environmental clean-up

  • Awareness Campaigns

  • Working in old age homes

  • Working with special children

  • Heritage Conservation

Public speaking is an important skill in communicating knowledge and expressing ideas to group of people. Creative writing encourages imagination and persuasiveness. Opportunities for creative writing and participation in Debates, Recitation and Declamation to improve rhetorical skills and eloquence in public speaking are provided.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP

We at Asian World School believe that it's important for students to experience leadership opportunities during their schooling, to learn the art of building relationships within teams, defining identities and achieving tasks effectively. It also provides an opportunity to learn, to identify and display effective communication and interpersonal skills. We create many opportunities for the students to enhance their leadership skills.

COUNSELLING AND CAREER GUIDANCE

We at Asian World School recognize the importance of an organized and planned approach towards career guidance. Teaching our students to shape and build their future course of action taking in account their natural strengths. We provide information and guidance in areas such as:

Behavioral Counselling is a process that is helpful for students to know and understand the world of social dynamics. Behavioral counselling not only helps in shaping a great personality, but it is also helpful in making students more deal with day-to-day conflicts. Behavioral counselling connects the experiences students have in school to their future, which enhances academic motivation and provides meaning and purpose for the work done by them. School provides students with a Behavioral Counsellor.

 Also, the school holds workshops/talks/interactive sessions with professionals to give insight to the students to make informed choices. The school organizes Aptitude, Interest and Personality Tests followed by one-on-one counselling with the student and parents.

STUDENT’S EXCHANGE AND STUDY TOURS

Asian World School provides international learning opportunities to students to facilitate them to accept and understand the world of composite cultures and community perspectives. It is through the International Exchange programs that the school emboldens students to discover new ways of adaptability and learning to be able to be a part of the global world. These programs provide students with an exposure to become aware of multi-faceted approaches to learning and living. Students develop adaptability to embrace foreign cultures and promote liberal mindedness. At Asian World School, we provide facilities for students to interact with students of other schools and nationalities. We believe that an experience of the different cultures and people of the world is a great way to learn and open up minds.  So, we lay special emphasis on national and international student exchange programs.

FAIRS AND EXHIBITIONS

The role of educational fairs and exhibitions in the higher education promotion system evidently allows both exhibitors and visitors to achieve a number of goals. Exhibitions and Fairs both are typically designed to encourage students to think critically, solve challenging problems, and develop skills such as verbal communication, public speaking, research, teamwork, planning, self-sufficiency, goal setting, or technological and online literacy. At Asian World School we prepare the learners to achieve specialized knowledge through exhibition and develop their abilities in imagination and train them to focus on a large platform to showcase their talent and present it in public. Fairs and Exhibitions allow the students to reveal the ideas clearly and effectively. The school at regular intervals keeps organizing Science Exhibition, Art Exhibition, Career Fairs, Educational Fairs, Book Fairs, Cultural Fairs through which the students can showcase their learning and hidden talents.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is more than just a fancy word for taking pictures. It can be an involved, enriching activity if approached correctly.  Hobbies such as photography help children develop their fine motor and visual spatial skills. Being involved with the arts has also been scientifically proven to obtain more academic achievements.

 At Asian World School we see photography as an art of observation. Asian Photography Club in association with Jaipur Photography Club has developed various modules. The purpose is to enhance the confidence of students to take a self-inspiring range of photographs in a variety of environments. Students are taken for photo walks in and around the city to capture the real moments of life. Photo Exhibitions are organized to encourage students’ work thus instilling confidence in them.

ANIMATION & FILM MAKING

Movie making may have meant one thing years ago, but today, the opportunity is out there for anyone to try and create a special effects blockbuster thanks to the many available tools.  With expert mentorship and guidance, they can leverage the power of these popular platforms to share their ideas with a wide audience. Filming and producing videos allow kids an outlet for self-expression as they carve out their path from imaginer to storyteller.

The Asian World School’s Animation and Film Making Club, strives to provide students a platform to discover their unique potential, explore their talents, experiment with ideas, and express their thoughts to the world in a different perspective via pictures, graphics, and videos. The students are provided with the best of the inputs and equipment to help them hone their talent.

HEALTH PROGRAMMES

This program provides age-appropriate information about health and nutrition to the children in school. It also promotes healthy behavior among the children that they will inculcate for life. At Asian World School we have a comprehensive, well-coordinated school health program to promote the optimal physical, emotional, social, and educational development of students. School focuses on following areas:

LIFE SKILL WORKSHOPS

Life skills can be defined as abilities that enable humans to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of life. Life skills equip students to thrive in the classroom and in the world beyond. The 21st century life skills are flexibility, initiative, social skills, productivity, and leadership. At Asian World School, we believe that education is not only about creating geniuses but also impeccable human beings who are capable to recognize the impact of their actions and learn to take responsibility for what they do. The main objectives of these workshops are as follows: -

CLUB ACTIVITIES

School clubs create small communities. They attract learners who share the same interests such as in music, arts, or sports. Club activities help students develop a sense of unity and teamwork, learning how to work with others in reaching the same goals. They are helpful for the learners to develop social skills. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in one. Club activities at Asian World School supplement academics and give the students practical training which they require in day-to-day life. In the school, various club activities are organized allowing the students to display their talent.

VARIOUS CLUBS AT THE SCHOOL

 

QUEST QUIZ CLUB

The Objective behind this club is to evaluate the knowledge of the participants and to make them familiar with the prospects of quizzes and the objectivity of the questions. This club has helped students become avid quizzers who have won many accolades in various inter-school quiz competitions. 

HERITAGE CLUB

Heritage Club programs are designed to involve students in various activities geared towards heritage awareness, education for learning a craft and museum visits.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

The purpose of this club is to create awareness of environmental issues, such as conservation, preservation, and restoration, with an emphasis on educating and empowering students. Students who are interested in environmental advocacy and awareness are encouraged to join this club.

 

STEM CLUB

The Stem club is for students to learn technological skills and expand these skills to do creative projects. Through various engaging activities like technical quizzes, programming, expert lectures and presentations, students at Asian World School have become well-versed in using different softwares and are acquainted with the latest technologies. This club also provides students with opportunities to showcase their abilities in coding, programming and problem solving.

LITERARY CLUB

The Literary Club at Asian World School is a place for language learners to develop their creative writing and oratory skills. This club provides a platform to the students to interact with various authors and language experts to help them enhance their craft of writing. It is also a place where members engage in debates, speeches, reading of literary works, discussions, and literary productions.
